Training in Butchery

Plumpton College at Flimwell, Centre for Sustainable Food Farming and Forestry.
Be a butcher training courses are designed to provide hands on training and take place at an on farm cutting room, Netherfield, Battle, East Sussex.
Only four delegates per course - book early.

Now available, butchery demonstration days, come and spend a day with us and observe the butchery process. Then progress onto a full two day butchery practical of your chosen meat. Demonstration days are at a reduced cost.
Apprenticeship opportunties available soon, please enquire for details.
CIEH Food Safety and CIEH Cleaning of Premises.
Always check with your Local Authority and EHO that the CIEH Course you plan to attend will be acceptable. Certified courses are regularly run by Plumpton College

A one day practical course, learn recipes, tips and curing methods for great tasting bacon and ham. Read the agenda
Delegates will be encouraged to return to the cutting room for follow up work shadowing with an expert butcher. A mentoring service can also be provided for the months following the course.
